Tea Information
Type Green Tea
Origin China
Format Loose Leaf
Taste Soft and Mild, with a Sweet note and strong green-yellow cup
Brewing Advice One dessert spoon per cup. Add hot but not boiling water (80ºC). Infuse for two to three minutes.

Although Japanese in origin, sencha tea is a very popular and frequently consumed drink in China where it is more economically produced and is of a comparable standard. The large-leaf is slightly brittle due to its wiry character, while the dark olive green infusion clearly shows that the middle leaf shoots which contain less caffeine, have been processed. The cup shimmers with a strong green-yellow tone. Extremely soft and mild with a sweet note. Ideal for green tea beginners. Drink from the afternoon onwards.

Great Quality

Easy to order, arrived quickly, etc.

I've ordered cheaper Sencha from other companies and big corporates like Amazon. They are a bit cheaper, but this Sencha is far superior in all areas. Littel if any dust in the bag, good instructions, good odour, has the proper Sencha colour and it tastes great (even after second infusion). Plus 2 free sachets of other green teas (I asked for green samples and got them).

I rotate between Sencha, Bancha, Dragon Well Imperial and my newest addition Chun Mee. What I'm paying for a couple of months excellent green tea is a much better bargain than bland corporate teas.

Keep up the good work!
