Rooibos tea is made from the dried fermented leaves of the South African shrub Aspalathus Linearis. It will only grow in a small arid area of the Cape Province. Rooibos is claimed to have all the antioxidant benefits of the camellia tea, and is naturally caffeine free. Char rooibos is of the highest quality, which is shown by the relatively large cut leaf that we use. It has been repeatedly sieved to ensure an even and high quality final product - a 'super grade' quality from cultivated rank growth.
The tea bags are made from soilon - a corn starch which is biodegradable.
