Keemun tea, also known as Qimen, is one of the world's great black teas, originating in the Qimen region of the Anhui province of China. Our Keemun Supreme tea is a full-bodied but mellow loose leaf tea producing a deep red copper cup that is fruity with hints of wine. It also displays a hint of delicious orchid fragrance and China tea sweetness. It contains less caffeine, and is less astringent than Assam. It is excellent with or without milk, and can be served hot or iced.

The tea is delicious but not if you follow the instructions for making it

The tea is delicious but not if you follow the instructions for making it. It is extremely weak if you make it with just one dessertspoonful per cup. You need double that, or the addition of a bit of Assam, for example, to bring it to strength. I don’t know why the instructions are so deficient. It doesn’t even have the advertised colour if you use just one dessertspoonful.

The best tea

Keemun is simply the best tea; it has a distinctive, nutty, warm, mellow flavour and yet is low in caffeine. It's great to be able to buy it in Winchester; the only other source that I have found is Fortnum and Masons in London.

Fantastic tea

We've drunk black chinese teas for decades but they were getting harder and harder to find. Keemum is just perfect and I was very pleased to find it, thanks Char
