Also known as Iron Goddess of Mercy and Tie Guan Yin, Iron Buddha Tea is a premium quality Oolong tea from Fujian province has a curled rough ball shape and emerald green appearance. The aroma is strong and fragrant with orchid tones and a brew that is bright yellow-green. Iron Buddha Tea (Tieguanyin) is masterfully hand rolled & fired and is both refreshing & sweet. It is balanced by a slightly bitter after-taste, leaving a refreshing floral taste in the mouth. This is one of the famous teas of China.

Iron Buddha Tea contains a moderate level of caffeine, providing a gentle and sustained energy boost without the jitters often associated with high-caffeine beverages. The tea is rich in antioxidants, which help combat oxidative stress and promote overall wellness. Additionally, it has been known to aid digestion and support a healthy metabolism, making it a delightful and health-conscious choice for tea lovers.

More about Oolong Tea

Oolong teas have always been taken seriously by those who are serious about tea. They are partially or semi-oxidized teas. Depending on the production methods used, oolong teas fall into two categories - dark open leafed or greener balled. Both offer a beautiful fresh and complex tea drinking experience.

The darker Oolongs can be infused several times, giving a soft, fruity, pale amber liquor with a honeyed character. The greener oolongs give a very pale amber-green liquor and have a wonderful fragrant character comparable to narcissus or hyacinth. Both can be infused several times. Oolongs are traditionally manufactured in China and Taiwan although other countries have now also started production.
