Dandelion is a herb related to the sunflower family. Its name comes from the French 'dent de lion' meaning 'lions teeth', used to describe the jagged leaves. The plant's young leaves contain some trace elements, gluten, and vitamins B2, B6, B12, C and E. They are also an even richer source of vitamin A than carrots! This dandelion infusion is made from the root and leaves. It makes an excellent tonic because it stimulates the body to eliminate waste and toxins. Enjoy with a spoonful of honey.
