Char's Earl Grey Supreme sets the standard for Earl Grey tea.
It is made from a base of superb quality Ceylon tea, expertly perfumed with the finest bergamot oil and decorated with cornflower petals.
It is full bodied, rich in flavour and with a striking appearance. Our Earl Grey is suitable for those who enjoy their tea with milk. Its addition compliments rather than overwhelms the tea.
Origin. Sri Lanka, Ceylon
Tea type Black, scented
Taste Rich, fragrant and strong
When Morning, afternoon
Available in Loose leaf or teabags (see teabag section)
The original Earl Grey drunk in 1833 consisted of pure China tea lightly flavoured with fine bergamot oil. The bergamot flavouring which was provided by the Chinese was intended to protect the tea from the taste of mould and tar which could arise from the long sea journey to England.
Your tea will come beautifully packed in one of Char's re-zippable bags. This allows the freshness to remain within.
Should you prefer, some teas are also offered in Char's unique caddies. A perfect gift.
